As fans count down the hours until the first kickoff of the 2016 college football season, there are plenty of rankings out there to help set expectations.
ESPN released its preseason power rankings on Monday, and they included four Big 10 teams, including Ohio State and Michigan in the top 10.

Michigan State checks in at No. 13, showing just how tough the Big 10 East is going to be this season. Iowa, at No. 23, is the only other Big 10 team in the field. The full rankings and a breakdown of voters can be found here.
The rankings for Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State are similar to what the teams were given in the preseason coaches poll. The Buckeyes, Wolverines and Spartans were fifth, eighth and 11th, respectively, in that poll which was released earlier in August. Iowa, on the other hand, was ranked eight spots higher at No. 15 in the coaches poll.
