Ezekiel Elliott found himself in headlines for the wrong reasons earlier this week when video surfaced of him exposing a woman’s breast in public during a St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Dallas.
According to one other former Ohio State star, it’s time for Elliott to grow up.
In an interview with TMZ, Chris Spielman called out Elliott’s behavior and said what Zeke did was not justifiable.
“It’s a choice you ultimately make, and you realize that you represent your family, your team and your teammates. So you choose the behavior,” said Spielman, a two-time All-American with the Buckeyes. “And when you choose the behavior, you choose the consequences.
“He’s not young. He’s at the age where you know right from wrong. So let’s stop with the young card, I can’t stand it. …That’s never OK to pull someone’s shirt down.”
Spielman’s full comments can be found here.
Elliott, 21, was the NFL’s leading rusher as a rookie with the Cowboys.
Spielman, 51, was a four-time Pro Bowler after going in the second round of the 1988 NFL Draft. He currently is an analyst for Fox Sports.
