Former Ohio State star Michael Thomas’ impressive NFL rookie season got even better Sunday, as he hit several impressive milestones.
With a 20-yard reception in the first quarter at Atlanta, Thomas surpassed 1,000 yards on the season, becoming the first New Orleans rookie to reach that mark since Marques Colston in 2006.

Then, early in the fourth quarter, Thomas caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from Drew Brees for his ninth touchdown on the season.
And the milestones just kept coming from there.

Michael Thomas just tied the Saints' franchise record for rookie receptions. Both he and Reggie Bush have 88 catches.

Michael Thomas finished his rookie season second all-time among rookie WR in receptions (92) and seventh in receiving yards (1,137).

Thomas now leads all NFL rookies in receptions (89), receiving yards (1,106) and touchdown catches (9).
Before being drafted by the Saints in the second round last spring, Thomas played three seasons at Ohio State, catching 113 passes for 1,602 yards and 18 touchdowns.
