Ezekiel Elliott was treated to a harsh take down in the third quarter of the Cowboys’ win over the Lions on Monday night.
Elliott was picked up and slammed to the turf by defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson. Robinson was questionably flagged for the play, and after the game Elliott said the defender was playing “dirty” all game.
The former Buckeyes star has a theory as to why.
Just about two years ago, Elliott and Robinson — an ex-Alabama star — met in the Sugar Bowl. Elliott ran wild for 230 yards and two touchdowns against Robinson and the Crimson Tide as the Buckeyes pulled off the upset on their way to a national title.
Elliott said after the game Monday night that he thinks Robinson is still “salty” about that loss.
Zeke on A'Shawn: He was being dirty all game. I think he was a little salty from Sugar Bowl win we got against him two years ago.

Do you agree with Elliott’s theory, Ohio State fans? Either way, the running back continues to have bragging rights against Robinson after the Cowboys win.
And Elliott’s pride could swell even more if Ohio State was to meet and beat Alabama in the National Championship Game this season.
