Ezekiel Elliott knows how he’s going to spend New Year’s Eve. It’s all about Ohio State.
The former Buckeyes star running back sent a message offering his support of Ohio State’s Fiesta Bowl showdown against Clemson. If the Buckeyes win, they would play in the national championship on Jan. 9.
“Buckeyes, handle business today,” Elliott wrote on Instagram.
The Dallas Cowboys rookie also shared a photo of him celebrating the Buckeyes’ win in the Sugar Bowl against Alabama. The Buckeyes upset Alabama 42-35 in the College Football Playoff semifinals. They later beat Oregon for the national title.
Elliott has quickly become one of the NFL’s biggest stars in his rookie season. He has 1,631 rushing yards and 15 TDs on 322 carries (5.1 yards per attempt).
In college, Elliott rushed for more than 1,800 yards in both 2014 and 2015. Elliott was at his best during Ohio State’s playoff run.
