Alabama rolled again, this time beating Kentucky 34-6. Then Clemson survived against Louisville, 42-36, in a thrilling game between top-5 teams.
All impressive — but ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit sees a different team as No. 1.
Herbstreit ranked Ohio State No. 1 on his personal top 4, with Alabama second and Clemson third. The other potential eye-opening choice is he has Louisville ahead of unbeaten Michigan. The Wolverines knocked off then-unbeaten Wisconsin, 14-7, but Herbstreit seems to be more impressed by Louisville QB Lamar Jackson and the Cardinals’ performance at night in Clemson in a very hostile environment.

Ohio State continues to pile up big wins, with the 58-0 destruction of Rutgers the latest. Plus, with Oklahoma’s win at No. 21 TCU, the Buckeyes get a boost with their strength of schedule.
Through four games, Ohio State is outscoring teams 57 to 9.2 points per game.
