Michigan is the most likely Big 10 team to go undefeated, according to ESPN’s Football Power Index. The Wolverines have a 20.1 percent chance of not losing another game, higher than Ohio State’s 16.7 percent chance.
No. 4 UM is 4-0 entering its game on Saturday at home against No. 8 Wisconsin. No. 2 Ohio State hosts Rutgers.
The FPI measures a team’s likely success going forward. Only two other teams are more likely to go undefeated. Boise State has a 28.9 percent chance of winning out, while Louisville is at 25.9 percent. The only team that separates Michigan and OSU is Western Michigan, who has an 18.4 percent chance to not lose a game.
Though Michigan and Ohio State are among the most likely teams to win every game this season, it’s impossible that both will. The two teams will close out the season, as they do every year, with Ohio State hosting Michigan on Nov. 26.
