During Ohio State football’s spring game at Ohio Stadium on Saturday afternoon, there was a number of elite recruits in attendance. One of those prospects was EJ Smith, the son of Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith.
Like his father, Smith is also a running back. In fact, he is one of the top running back prospects in the 2020 recruiting class, as he is considered 4-star recruit. Because of his talent, Smith is receiving scholarships offers from programs like Ohio State, Florida — where his father played his college ball — and Georgia, among others.
However, this weekend for Smith was all about Ohio State. Smith visited campus with his father, his mother and his sister, and it looks like they had a great time visiting the school.

Emmitt Smith is one of the best running backs to ever play in the NFL, as he rushed for 18,355 yards and 164 touchdowns in his 15-year NFL career.
If EJ is even half as good as his father was, Ohio State, or any other program, will be very lucky to have him on their team.
