It’s been a long season for Eli Apple and the New York Giants. It’s one that will come to a close on Sunday, but not before one more off the field drama.
Giants safety Landon Collins called out cornerback Eli Apple in an interview on Tuesday. Collins said Apple, the franchise’s first pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, needs to establish himself and then referred to him as “a cancer” on ESPN Radio.
Eli Apple called ‘a cancer’ by Landon Collins
“There’s one corner that has to establish and needs to grow, and we all know who that is,” Collins said. “That would be the only person I would change out of our secondary group. The other two guys — DRC (Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie) and Jack Rabbit (Janoris Jenkins) — I love those two guys. They play hard. They love what they do. But, that first pick, he’s a cancer.”
You don't often hear an NFL player call a teammate a cancer on the radio, but Landon Collins just said that about Eli Apple to @espnbob
