Eddie George is sticking with his fellow Buckeye.
TMZ caught up with the ex-Ohio State star and longtime NFL running back about Joey Bosa’s contract situation. Bosa, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, has not signed with the Chargers and the two sides haven’t spoken in more than two weeks.
“Teams will screw you,” George said. “So you gotta make sure the language is perfect.”
George commended Bosa for holding out, saying he has to handle his contract negotiations like a businessman. If he’s not getting a fair shake from San Diego, he should continue to hold out.
“He’s wearing his businessman hat,” George told TMZ. “And that’s what you have to do. If you don’t do that in this league, you’ll get screwed.”
George added that Bosa’s teammates won’t hold the holdout against him and that he’ll be in fine football shape once he signs.
“He’s a natural freak. He’s a monster. He’s a young man and don’t have a lot of mileage on him. He’s got plenty of time to get in football shape … trust me, he’ll be fine.”
