Former Ohio State RB Bri’onte Dunn was charged with first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence and assault on Friday, the Columbus Dispatch’s Bill Rabinowitz reported. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Dunn’s girlfriend told police that on July 17, he struck her in the face and choked her.
“My boyfriend hit me really bad,” she said on a 911 call.
Ohio State coach Urban Meyer dismissed Dunn from the team the next day for a “violation of team rules.”
Dunn carried 15 times for 95 last year behind Ezekiel Elliot, and was expected to compete for first-team snaps with redshirt freshman Mike Weber.
