Cris Carter has a lot of school pride. Unfortunately, his tailor doesn’t have a good proofreader.
Carter, a former Ohio State star, wanted to rep the Buckeyes on his suit when he appeared on Colin Cowherd’s show, “The Herd,” Friday. So he had a phrase sewn under the collar on the back of his neck.
Unfortunately for Carter, there was a crucial spelling error. “Buckeye Born And Bread” was stitched into his suit instead of “Buckeye Born And Bred.” The Herd’s Twitter account tweeted out a picture before the show, and it’s unclear if Carter was aware of the mistake or not.

UPDATE: Carter tweeted an explanation for the phrase, saying that it was intentionally spelled “bread.” Carter said that in this instance, bread was referring to money.
BREAD = $$, y'all https://t.co/fO5zNTUM3M

Is that a crafty cover up or was that original intention? We may never know for sure.
Still, Carter was initially toast on social media.
