Cardale Jones knows what it’s like to make an ill-advised comment as a young, backup quarterback.
Before he led Ohio State to the National Championship, he was known for a tweet saying he didn’t come to college to “play school.”
Jones has matured a lot since the 2012 tweet, and he’s learned to poke fun at himself. That’s what he did Friday morning with another social media post directed at Oklahoma backup quarterback Austin Kendall, who said the Buckeyes have a “basic” defense.
Kid must not be playing much school, calling the silver bullets basic? smart https://t.co/Q0SOZPYGeB

Jones, now a rookie with the Buffalo Bills, is the latest member of the Ohio State family to weigh in on Kendall’s comments. You can find some others here.
