Ohio State OL Kyle Trout is leaving Columbus, according to a report by Cleveland.com’s Ari Wasserman on Saturday. According to the report, Trout will transfer this offseason, possibly to Cincinnati or Ohio.
Trout was a 4-star recruit out of Lancaster, Ohio, ranked the No. 19 offensive tackle in the Class of 2014 by 247 Sports. He sat out his first year in Columbus, then played on the scout team as a redshirt freshman. As a sophomore in 2016, he again failed to crack the Buckeyes’ depth chart.
Earlier Saturday, 247 Sports reported that fellow Buckeyes offensive lineman Evan Lisle planned to leave Ohio State to enroll at Duke as a graduate transfer.
