One of the nation’s top prospects made a declaration on the Fourth of July. But this announcement might be disappointing to Ohio State fans.
Tee Higgins, a 5-star prospect from Oak Ridge, Tenn., announced he had committed to Clemson Monday morning. Higgins revealed his decision in an artistic video on Bleacher Report.

The Buckeyes might not have been a favorite to land the talented prospect, but they were definitely in the running. Ohio State was mentioned during the video and Higgins had taken a visit to Columbus, Ohio last month. The bigger surprise is that Higgins spurned the local Volunteers to take his talents to Clemson.
Higgins is rated as the No. 15 prospect nationally in the Class of 2017 and the No. 3 wide receiver. He received 22 reported scholarship offers, including offers from Michigan and Maryland. He caught 46 passes for 841 yards and 16 touchdowns last season at Oak Ridge High School.
