Midway through the third quarter, Northwestern was trying to find any kind of offensive production. Luckily for the Wildcats, they had Solomon Vault.
Sitting on Duke’s 44-yard line, quarterback Clayton Thorson found a streaking Vault for a 44-yard touchdown, which gave the Wildcats the lead in an offensive stalemate.

That touchdown was the Wildcats’ second longest touchdown of the year. Running back Justin Jackson ran for a 46-yard touchdown against Western Michigan.
