One day after Veterans Day, Northwestern players celebrated Wildcats senior and former Navy SEAL Tom Hruby.
Hruby carried the American flag onto the field before Northwestern’s game against Purdue and was lifted on his teammates’ shoulder following the 45-17 win.
How great is this?

During the game, Hruby, who is listed at linebacker but has come in at running back in the past, carried three times for minus-2 yards. With the game out of hand, Northwestern tried to get Hruby a touchdown, but he fumbled behind the line of scrimmage on fourth-and-goal from the Purdue 1-yard line.
Hruby is in his third season with the Wildcats. He joined the team in 2014 as a 32-year-old walk-on while still active in the SEALs, but he has since retired.
