Northwestern already had a tough task on Sunday when it traveled to Wisconsin. But the Wildcats also were without their leading scorer.
Scottie Lindsey sat out Northwestern’s victory. CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein reports Lindsey is still dealing with an illness.

Lindsey, who averages a team-best 15.4 points, has missed three straight games. Northwestern lost to Purdue and Illinois with Lindsey out because of an undisclosed illness.
The Wildcats improved to 19-6 overall and 8-4 in the Big Ten with the win at Wisconsin. Northwestern is trying to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. Meanwhile, No. 7 Wisconsin dropped to 21-4, 10-2.
The junior Lindsey is shooting 44.5 percent from the field while making an average of two 3-pointers per game. He’s also posting 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game. In January, he was also named the Big Ten’s Player of the Week.
According to ESPN’s most recent Bracketology, the Wildcats are a No. 8 seed in the South Region as one of seven Big Ten teams projected in the NCAA Tournament.
