Northwestern football has landed Class of 2019 defensive end Jason Gold Jr. The 3-star prospect announced his commitment to the Wildcats on Twitter on Saturday. Gold plays for Clear Springs High School in League City, Texas.

Gold is ranked as the No. 66 strongside defensive end in the Class of 2020, according to 247Sports. Among all prospects from Texas in his recruiting class, Gold is ranked No. 119.
Numerous programs extended offers to Gold, including Iowa State, TCU, Virginia Tech, Minnesota and Oklahoma State.
