Taylor was one of the more coveted guards on the transfer market, having led the Missouri Valley Conference in scoring at 21.3 points per game this past season.
Taylor, a redshirt junior, is slated to graduate in May and will be eligible to play immediately for the Wildcats.
“Ryan Taylor is one of the best guards in the country,” Arkansas State coach Mike Balado told reporters back in November. “I don’t care if he plays here or Duke. He’s very good.”
Northwestern went 15-17 in 2017-18, missing out on the NCAA Tournament just one season after the program made its first ever appearance in the 68-team bracket. Taylor’s addition will certainly add some scoring punch to a team desperate for some.
