Bryant McIntosh received good news one day after suffering a left knee injury.

MRI on guard Bryant McIntosh’s left knee reveals no major ligament damage

On Dec. 30, Northwestern basketball hosted Brown and won the game, 95-73.

The win pushed the Wildcats’ record to 10-5 on the season, but the win didn’t occur without its share of negatives. No game ever goes perfectly for a team, but for Northwestern, senior guard Bryant McIntosh went down with a left knee injury in the second half of the contest and fans feared the worst.

One day later, McIntosh got an MRI and he, the team and fans received favorable news.

Like Andy Katz mentioned, the school announced the MRI showed no major ligament damage and McIntosh is listed as day-to-day. The 6-foot-3 play-maker is averaging over 13 points and 5 assists per game this season.

The Wildcats survived a scare — regarding McIntosh — against Brown and will host the Nebraska Cornhuskers at 9 p.m. ET on Jan. 2. The game will be televised on Big Ten Network.
