Former Northwestern QB Trevor Siemian to get another preseason start as Broncos’ QB battle continues
Is Trevor Siemian the favorite to get the Denver Broncos’ starting QB job? That may be the case.
The ex-Northwestern QB will start another preseason game, this time in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams at 9 p.m. on Saturday.

Siemian started Denver’s second preseason game, a 31-24 loss to San Francisco. Siemian led a TD drive on the first possession but later tossed an INT. He finished 10-for-14 for 75 yards and didn’t get sacked.
Mark Sanchez, who started the first game, was 10-for-17 for 120 yards, fumbled twice and got sacked three times against the 49ers.
Rookie Paxton Lynch, the Broncos’ first-round pick out of Memphis, may be the long-term answer. But he’s getting mostly third-string opportunities right now. Still, he was 15-for-26 for 113, two TDs and an interception. He was also sacked three times.
