Olges, from Winnetka, Ill. (just a few miles north of Northwestern’s campus), is listed as a 3-star recruit and the No. 8 prospect in Illinois in the 247Sports composite ratings. Listed at 6-foot-5, 255 pounds, Olges plays defensive end and tight end at New Trier High School, but he was being recruited as a defensive tackle by Northwestern.
Olges received more than two dozen offers, including recent ones from Wisconsin, Michigan State and Ole Miss. But he ultimately decided to stay home with Pat Fitzgerald’s program. Olges is the second-highest rated player of the 10 commits in Northwestern’s 2019 class.
