LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska is in the midst of a quarterback battle between redshirt freshman Patrick O’Brien and redshirt junior Tanner Lee.
Neither have been able to speak to the media in the year they’ve been on campus (Lee is a transfer from Tulane). But on Thursday, both quarterbacks broke their silence, addressing the battle for the starting position.
O’Brien said he feels good about how he’s practiced so far and the main advantage he has over Lee is the experience of being on the team. While Lee primarily was with scout team last season and unable to travel, O’Brien traveled to away games and took actual snaps during practice.
Here’s more of what O’Brien said. We’ll have more from Lee and offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf soon.
