Nebraska is undefeated and back in the Top 10 for the first time since 2011.
But not everyone is convinced the Huskers are legitimate.
In fact, two different Big Ten Network analysts think Indiana will knock off No. 10 Nebraska this Saturday.
The reasons for the pick? Nebraska hasn’t proven itself and the defense isn’t good enough.
“Indiana’s going to win this football game,” Jeremy Leman said. “Indiana’s going to beat Nebraska, OK? They’re undefeated, but they’re also untested…I think Indiana’s defense is opportunistic and I think Nebraska’s defense, the Blackshirt D, hasn’t been the Blackshirt D in 20 years.”
“I would have to agree with you, J,” Anthony Adams said. “I believe that Indiana can really put up points against this Nebraska defense.”
Interesting. Nebraska is favored to beat the Hoosiers, but Nebraska is still looking to get respect from experts. The “untested” comment does factor in to the prediction: Nebraska’s opponents are a combined 10-18, with 4-2 Wyoming the only team with a winning record.
We’ll find out if this upset pick happens when Nebraska plays at Indiana at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
