Nebraska QB Tommy Armstrong had his equipment cut off and was carted off the field during the Huskers game against Ohio State on Saturday night after suffering a scary-looking injury.
Shortly after, Nebraska’s athletics department released a statement on Armstrong’s status:
“According to Nebraska medical personnel, quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. was briefly knocked unconscious. He was moving all extremities and talking while on the field. He is being taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.”
Here’s the play. Armstrong went airborne and appeared to land hard on his neck/head. He set the career record for total yards by a Nebraska player earlier in the game.
