In typical Tim Miles fashion, the Nebraska basketball coach used some self-deprecating humor in his remarks at Big Ten Basketball Media Days on Thursday in Washington, D.C.
When asked how he’s seen his group of sophomores evolve from last season, Miles said the biggest difference so far is their shaving habits.
“Well, they shave twice a week instead of never,” Miles joked.
Eight of Miles’ players are either freshmen or sophomores. He actually went onto answer the question more seriously.
“They’re bigger and stronger, just more confident,” Miles said. “Just going into that second year you feel a little better about yourself and I’m excited about this team.”
