Bookie Radley-Hiles confirms visit
Rumors turned out to be true with 2018 4-star Bookie Radley-Hiles.
The cornerback from Calabasas, Calif., will be in Lincoln this weekend with QB Tristan Gebbia, he confirmed to 247sports.
Radley-Hiles is the No. 6 prospect from California and the No. 8 corner in the 2018 class. He’s teammates with Huskers commits Gebbia and Keyshawn Johnson Jr., and one of Nebraska’s top targets, 5-star CB Darnay Holmes.
Radley-Hiles said he attended the USC game last weekend as well as the UCLA game. His front-runner is currently Florida.
Radley-Hiles said he and his Calabasas teammates talk often about the possibility of all of them ending up at the same school.
“We talk about it all the time how it’s a possibility that all of us could end up (at Nebraska) together,” he told 247sports. “Then, we talk about how it could be like if we all ended up there. But we are all going to do what’s best for ourselves. It’s the best situation for Tristan. It’s the best situation for Keyshawn (Johnson Jr). It may be the best situation for me. It may be the best situation for Darnay (Holmes).”
Offer for 2018 corner
A 4-star cornerback wants to visit Lincoln after the Huskers offered him a scholarship this week.
Ken Montgomery, a 6-foot-2, 165-pound athlete from Tampa, Fla., told Rivals.com he wants to look into Nebraska as much as he can now that he has an offer there.
“I got told to call Nebraska and they offered,” Montgomery said. “My specific thought was that this was a huge offer for me and that I will be doing a lot of research on Nebraska.”
Montgomery has 20 offers, including from Kentucky, Louisville, Nebraska, USC, Tennessee and Arkansas.
He said he plans to take some visits this fall but doesn’t have any dates set up yet.
“I would like to visit Louisville, Nebraska, USC, Virginia Tech, Tennessee and USF,” he said.
Montgomery is the No. 32 corner in the 2018 class and No. 49 prospect from Florida.
Commits in Lincoln this weekend
Along with the recruits in Lincoln this weekend for the Oregon game, a few commits in addition to Gebbia will also be around.
Austin Allen, a 3-star tight end from Aurora, Neb., will visit Lincoln for the third time. He also attended the Fresno State and Wyoming games. Allen, 6-foot-8, 210 pounds, is the No. 1 recruit from Nebraska. He had offers from Iowa, Iowa State, UCF, UCLA, Kansas and Wyoming but committed to Nebraska in April.
Willie Hampton, a 3-star linebacker from West Palm Beach, Fla., will also make the trip to Lincoln. Hampton is a 6-foot-1, 225-pound linebacker who committed to Nebraska in March.
Robert Porcher IV will join Hampton from Florida. The 3-star defensive end from Orlando will make his first visit to Lincoln. Porter committed to Nebraska this summer. The 6-foot-3, 245-pound lineman had 35 offers from schools like Oregon, Michigan, Missouri, Cal and USC.
Matt Sichterman, a 3-star offensive tackle, will round out the commits visiting. Sichterman is a 6-foot-5, 266-pound tackle from Kings Mills, Ohio. He committed to Nebraska in May. Sichterman is the No. 41 offensive tackle in the 2017 class and had 30 offers, including from Michigan State, Northwestern, Kentucky and Ohio State.
