Nebraska lost its 15th game of the season on Thursday night, an 88-72 blowout at Michigan State.
With three games remaining in the regular season, the Huskers (12-15, 6-9 Big Ten) are guaranteed of finishing .500 or worse for the fourth time in five seasons under coach Tim Miles.
Michigan State (17-11, 9-6) got a much-needed win to pad its resume for an NCAA Tournament bid.
Tai Webster scored in double digits for the 28th straight game. The senior guard finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds and one assist.
Evan Taylor played well, too. He had 10 points and shot 5-for-8 from the floor.
Nebraska couldn’t seem to guard without fouling. Jordy Tshimanga, Glynn Watson, Michael Jacobson, Ed Morrow and Jack McVeigh all went into the half with two fouls.
Jacobson finished the night with just three points.

Nebraska will host Illinois at Pinnacle Bank Arena at 7:30 p.m. ET Sunday. Illinois is 16-12 overall and is coming off of a win over Northwestern. The Illini have won three of their last four games.
