LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska continues to inch closer to the Top 5.
After a 27-14 win over Purdue on Saturday afternoon, Nebraska (7-0, 3-0 Big Ten) moved up one spot to No. 7 in the latest AP Top 25 and two spots to No. 6 in the Coaches Poll released Sunday.

What it means: Nebraska is the third-highest ranked Big Ten team, behind No. 2 Michigan and No. 6 Ohio State. The No. 7 ranking is Nebraska’s highest since 2010.
