Patrick O’Brien thanks Nebraska: ‘It just wasn’t the right fit’
Patrick O’Brien is transferring from Nebraska football. His destination is not yet clear, but the former blue-chip quarterback recruit briefly explained his decision on Twitter not long after head coach Scott Frost announced it.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

O’Brien’s transfer comes as Nebraska’s spring practice nears its end. As a redshirt freshman, he compete with Tanner Lee for the Huskers’ starting quarterback job before Lee was named the starter, and appeared in 4 games in 2017, completing 30 of 18 passes.
