Oregon’s tribute was subtle and original.
Before Saturday’s game, Ducks coach Mark Helfrich and kicker Aidan Schneider put flowers on the 27-yard line in honor of former Nebraska punter Sam Foltz, who was killed in a car accident in July. Foltz wore No. 27.
Oregon kicker and Oregon Coach Mark Helfrich just walked out and placed bouquet of flowers at 27 yard line… Respect.

Nebraska and its fans have done some pretty cool things to honor Foltz this season, including sending 10 men out for its first punt of the season. Fresno State declined the delay of game penalty.
Former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler was also killed in the accident with Foltz. The two were driving home from a specialist’s camp in Wisconsin.
