Oregon hires former Nebraska assistant Donte Williams as outside linebackers coach
Former Nebraska football assistant Donte Williams is Oregon’s new outside linebackers coach, Ducks head coach Mario Cristobal announced Thursday.

“We are excited to add Donte to the staff,” Cristobal said. “His leadership skills and impact on student-athletes will be of great benefit to our program. Donte is an excellent coach and a nationally recognized top recruiter, and we look to forward to utilizing his efforts, knowledge and energy to move our program forward.”
This past season, Williams served as the Cornhuskers cornerbacks coach under former head coach Mike Riley. He held the same position at Arizona the year before and was heavily involved with recruiting at both stops.
247Sports named Williams as the Mountain West recruiter of the year in 2014, while Sports Illustrated pegged Williams a top 10 college football recruiter a year later.
