Once promising, Nebraska’s season has taken quite a tumble in the past few weeks. The team entered Saturday having lost back-to-back contests, including a 59-point loss to Ohio State last week.
Those struggles continued in the first half against Minnesota. And Cornhuskers punter Caleb Lightbourn seemingly symbolized them with a punt that traveled negative yards.

Lightbourn’s punt took perhaps the most unlucky bounce a punter can ask for and Minnesota took advantage, driving for a field goal just before halftime.
The Golden Gophers took a 17-10 lead into the locker room, marking the fourth consecutive game in which Nebraska trailed after halftime.
