Nebraska QB Tommy Armstrong will practice Thursday without contact, coach Mike Riley announced. If that goes well, he will likely play Saturday against Minnesota.
Armstrong sustained an apparent head injury while scrambling for a first down last week during the Cornhuskers’ game at Ohio State. He entered the concussion protocol and was declared day-to-day.

Riley said previously that if Armstrong couldn’t practice Thursday, he would not play Saturday. The fact that he’s now cleared to practice opens the door for a return vs. Minnesota.
If Armstrong cannot play Saturday, senior Ryker Fyfe will get the start.
