Nebraska’s football program has dealt with tragedy admirably during the last two months.
Saturday, the Huskers needed everything they had to beat No. 22 Oregon 35-32. Afterward, QB Tommy Armstrong dedicated the win to the teammate they lost — punter Sam Foltz.
“We played for Sam,” Armstrong said. “We said we’re always going to play for Sam.”

Foltz was killed in a car accident in July. The support for the program and Foltz’s family has been heartwarming — Oregon even put flowers on the 27-yard line before the game in No. 27’s honor.
