Nebraska AD Shawn Eichorst is out. That means football coach Mike Riley could be in trouble if the Huskers don’t figure things out soon.
Or is it too soon? Nebraska is 16-13 in the third season of Riley’s tenure. The 64-year-old coach is 109-93 overall in college, as he came to Lincoln, Neb., from Oregon State. With the Huskers firing Eichorst, Riley is likely on the hot seat.
Nebraska got off to a 7-0 start in 2016, getting to the top 10 of the polls. But since then, the Huskers lost to Tennessee in the Music City Bowl and are 3-6 in their last nine games. It’s possible a change is coming. Even though Riley had his contract extended through 2020, his seat is getting hot with this season’s 1-2 start.
Now we want your thoughts, Nebraska fans.
Should Nebraska fire coach Mike Riley?
