Nebraska has reportedly extended coach Mike Riley’s contract through the 2020 season. The Omaha World-Herald’s Lee Barfknecht broke the story, adding Nebraska President Hank Bounds expects they’ll extend it again in December.
Riley is 16-12 as the Huskers coach, making two bowl games his first three seasons. In his first year, Nebraska won the Foster Farms Bowl. The Huskers lost the Music City Bowl last season, finishing 9-4.
So far this year, the Huskers are 1-1 after beating Arkansas State and losing at Oregon. Nebraska plays at home against Northern Illinois this Saturday at 12 p.m. ET.
