Crick, a 2012 fourth-round pick, is in his sixth NFL season and second with the Broncos. He came over from the Houston Texans in 2016.
Back spasms forced Crick out of practice Aug. 14, but the Broncos remained optimistic he’d be back on the field soon. Leading up to Week 1, coach Vance Joseph listed Crick as day-to-day.
Then came Friday’s news, which could put the former Hoosier on IR just two weeks into the regular season.
