Nebraska’s final game of the 2017 season was a 56-14 hammering at the hands of Iowa. After a season that will likely lead to his head coach’s firing, freshman DE Ben Stille apologized to fans on Twitter after the game:
I'm truely sorry from the bottom of my heart to every senior, coach, former player and fan who have invested so much into this university. Gonna do everything in my power to help turn this around #gbr

Stille has been a contributor for Nebraska after redshirting last season. He was the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after contributing 4 tackles and 1 sack in Nebraska’s Week 4 win over Illinois. Stille equaled that total twice, including on Friday against Iowa.
The responses to his tweet, actually, were good.
That type of message is why we are here and will be. #GBR
