Nebraska is in the running to add on to its already deep wide receiver class of 2017.
Gavin Holmes, a three-star wide receiver in the class of 2017 and a Justin, Texas, native, announced his final list of seven schools on Twitter Thursday, which included Nebraska, amongst others.

Holmes, who is the 77th best prospect in the state of Texas and the 85th best wide receiver prospect in the nation according to 247Sports, nixed scholarship offers from Big Ten schools Iowa and Wisconsin, as well as offers from TCU and Oklahoma, to complete his list of finalists.
A commitment from Holmes would add on to the 34th-best recruiting class in the nation, which already includes commitments from four-star wide receiver Jaevon McQuitty and three-star wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson. The two, and possibly three depending on Holmes, would add on some much needed wide receiver depth for the Huskers who will lose senior wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp to graduation after this season.
According to 247Sports, Nebraska has a 75 percent chance of landing a commitment from Holmes.
