Nebraska football has made some impressive gains this offseason thanks to head strength coach Zach Duval. Just how impressive, though? The numbers (lost 389 pounds of fat, gained 436 pounds of muscle and lost an average of 2.8 percent body fat) tell the story.

Spring practice begins
Nebraska may be on spring break this week, but the Huskers kicked off spring practice late last week. So far so good, as coach Scott Frost liked the effort and enthusiasm he saw from the team.

A big move
Treven Ma’ae is more than 2,500 miles away from his home. While the transfer from his home in Hawaii to Bishop Gorman High School helps with recruiting, there was a much more personal reason for the move.

A little beach action
Talk about a nice place to kick off spring break. The Nebraska beach volleyball team competed in the Outrigger Resorts Hawaii Invitational on Queen’s Beach over the weekend. By the end, Kenzie Maloney was named the best defender of the tournament.
