Bad news for Tre Bryant

After plenty of speculation, coach Mike Riley confirmed what many had feared: Running back Tre Bryant will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. He is scheduled for knee surgery and Riley expects him to be a good candidate for a medical redshirt.

‘Iffy’ thoughts about Nebraska

Nebraska would love to snag prized recruit Micah Parsons, but it sounds like the 5-star defensive end from Harrisburg, Pa., is a little unsure about the Huskers currently. The reason why? The coaching situation is leaving a lot yet to be determined.

Would Scott Frost return?

Would former Huskers QB and current Central Florida coach Scott Frost return to Nebraska if offered the head coaching job? According to CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd, the answer is yes.

From AD Bill Moos to fans

“Perhaps most importantly, Nebraska is known for having fans like you who are second to none in their passion, loyalty and knowledge of all our teams.”

That’s just a little of what new athletic director Bill Moos had to say in a letter to Nebraska season-ticket holders, which he sent out on his first day on the job.

Depth chart update

Aside from the update on Bryant, Nebraska released its updated depth chart on Monday ahead of the matchup with Purdue. One big change? Chris Jones is back at the top spot at cornerback.
