Nebraska coach Scott Frost on 8-team playoff; Huskers recruiting update
Nebraska football is the No. 1 topic in Big Red Rising every day — but we cover news, notes and analysis from across Huskers sports. Join us each morning to get caught up on everything you missed in the world of Huskers football, recruiting, basketball and more.
Nebraska football coach Scott Frost has said previously that he would like an eight-team playoff. He reiterated that again on Friday.
Tayvion Robinson, a 3-star athlete from Virginia Beach, Va., could end up with the Huskers. There’s still plenty ahead until that’s known for sure, but Nebraska is at least in his top 6 for now.
Knows what he wants
Rahmir Johnson is a commit in Nebraska’s 2019 recruiting class. Much like his decision to pick the Huskers, he also always knew he wanted Bergen Catholic.
Camp circuit offers
Nebraska is busy on the camp circuit, which means offers have continued to be made at a crazy pace. Land of 10’s Chris Bumbaca updated the latest offers from the Huskers.
A new home
Former Nebraska quarterback Patrick O’Brien has found a new home. He recently announced his decision to play for Colorado State.
Nebraska linebacker Luke Gifford had to sit out this spring because of an injury, but he’s not upset about it in hindsight. Instead, Gifford sees the setback as an opportunity to grow as a leader in the bigger picture.
