According to the Omaha World-Herald, coach Mike Riley agreed to a one-year extension “earlier this year” that keeps him under contract until 2020. To top it off, Nebraska also plans to extend it another year come December.
Florida will ‘bounce back’
Dicaprio Bootle waited for the call that it was all OK. It finally came on Monday. The redshirt freshman cornerback is one of a handful of Huskers from Florida who all say their home state will bounce back after Hurricane Irma.
Riley wasn’t pleased with what he saw against Oregon, and said the team should “feel sick” when watching the film. He’s looking to correct the mistakes ahead of the Northern Illinois matchup on Saturday, as is offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf. As long as you don’t put all the blame on quarterback Tanner Lee.
Mark your calendars
Nebraska’s matchup with Rutgers officially has a game time. The two programs will face off at Memorial Stadium on Sept. 23 at 3:30 ET on the Big Ten Network.
That’s exactly what the Nebraska volleyball team hopes to do after sweeping UCLA last weekend. The Huskers (5-2) hope to take that momentum with them to Omaha for the Omaha Challenge this week where they will face Kansas State, Northern Iowa and Nebraska-Omaha.
What a catch
Dallas Cowboys’ Cole Beasley had a very Jordan Westerkamp-easque catch Sunday night, which prompted plenty of Huskers fans to notice.
It now prompts the question: Who caught it better? (Our personal vote is for Westerkamp.)
