Dawkins threw for 2,418 yards and rushed for 1,582 yards over three seasons at Arizona. Dawkins was a 3-star recruit, according to the 247Sports Composite. He was the No. 14 dual-threat quarterback in the nation for the class of 2014.
Nebraska is looking to move on without quarterback Tanner Lee, who declared for the 2018 NFL Draft. The junior threw for 3,143 yards and 23 touchdowns against 16 interceptions for the Huskers in 2017.
To this point, the contenders to replace Lee have been: sophomore Patrick O’Brien, redshirt freshman Tristan Gebbia, and incoming freshman Adrian Martinez. If Dawkins transfers to Nebraska, he’d have the experience edge in the race.
