An update on future Black Friday games
After the 2020 and 2021 Big Ten football schedules were released, Nebraska fans noticed the traditional Black Friday game was no longer. The Huskers and Minnesota were scheduled for a Saturday both years, which didn’t go over well. Cut to Thursday and athletic director Shawn Eichorst changed his tune in a statement. He later met with the media, admitting he had made a mistake in not being clear.
So, it sounds like Black Friday matchups may continue. As long as Minnesota is on board, that is.
Tre Bryant out against NIU
Running back Tre Bryant has suffered knee problems for some time, and they were made worse against Oregon. Coach Mike Riley wasn’t sure what his status would be on Monday, but hoped to know mid-week. We learned Bryant’s fate on Thursday, and he will not play against Northern Illinois. Mikale Wilbon will get the start in his place.
It’s going around
After an illness forced the Nebraska soccer team to postpone a match, it appears the illness has made its way to the football team. Riley confirmed quite a few players have been sick recently, including running back Jaylin Bradley.
A punt inside the 5
Safeties/special teams coach Scott Booker gets excited about some plays. One of those plays is definitely a punt inside the 5-yard line. Can’t blame him.
Who is visiting?
There are three prospects the Huskers are set to host at Memorial Stadium on Saturday to see Nebraska take on Northern Illinois.
One more day
