LINCOLN, Neb. — On the heels of its 62-3 thrashing by Ohio State last Saturday, Nebraska plummeted in the College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday.
Nebraska (7-2, 4-2 Big Ten) fell from No. 10 to No. 19.
On Sunday, the Huskers fell 10 spots from No. 10 to No. 20 in the Coaches Poll, and 12 spots from No. 9 to No. 21 in the AP Top 25.
Nebraska’s hopes of making the College Football Playoff are likely gone, though if the Huskers win out and Wisconsin loses, they could still make the Big Ten championship game.
