Nebraska DB Nate Gerry has already accepted a high-profile invitation.
The Huskers’ senior safety accepted an invitation to the 2017 Senior Bowl, the bowl announced on Monday.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Gerry ranks second on the team with 4 interceptions, behind only Kieron Williams and his 5 interceptions.
Gerry is also No. 2 with 64 total tackles, only 7 back of Josh Banderas. Gerry has 7 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks and 7 passes broken up for the Huskers.
He made two of his interceptions in the 52-17 win against Wyoming on Sept. 10.
Gerry is one of the first dozen players to accept an invitation to the game. The 2017 Senior Bowl is scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. ET kick on Jan. 28. It will be televised by the NFL Network.
