It’s tough to predict how commits will fare once they get to college. But one thing is pretty clear: A pair of Nebraska commits do not have a future as meteorologists.
This week, 1011 News in Lincoln, Neb., had some of the best high school football players in the state try their hand at giving the weather forecast on air. Two of the players who gave it a shot were Nebraska commits in the 2018 class: DT Masry Mapieu from York, Neb., and TE Cameron Jurgens from Beatrice, Neb.
Mapieu (No. 70) and Jurgens (No. 44), as well as the other players, found out quickly that delivering the weather forecast is no easy task.
